The Monkey Nuts at the Simba Youth Zone
This year at the Simba Zone saw the Moneky Nuts make their debut at HIFA. Aerosol and other beat boxers represented there as well. As usual the B-Boys were there and they seem to be getting younger each year.

The HIVOS Poetry Cafe is home to slam poetry and this year featured the likes of Aura The Poet, Dickson Monroe, Rumbi Katedza, Nqobile Malinga, and international acts like Yasus Afari (Jamaica), Linda Marlowe (United Kingdom)

Workshops at HIFA
Each year there are always workshops that are held. We managed to catch a few workshops which included Marimba, Graffitti, and even Origami!
Chilling at the Coca Cola Green at HIFA
This year the Coca Cola Green was not as busy but the acts that did perform did not fail to impress. There was Bkay & Kazz, Winky D and Macintosh.
Bollywood comes to HIFA
The Youth Zone did not fail on delivering upcoming acts which are always so diverse. This year there was Bollywood, graffitti and the B-Boy battle which has become a permanent feature of the Youth Zone.
Habib Koité closes HIFA 2009
Senegalese musician Habib Koité was the closing act for HIFA 2009 before the fireworks displaying.
Eating fire at HIFA
During a quiet time at the Coca Cola Green a magician and his young accomplace treated people who were relaxing, to some tricks, balancing knives and breathing fire.
Willom Tight at HIFA
This year the main act on the Coca Cola green had to be Willom Tight who performed to a racous crowd. He did not dissappoint and rocked the stage late into the night. He played popular tracks like Wekumaphanya
